Dixie Lynne

Roster

Dixie Lynne is an 18-year-old indie singer-songwriter from California, living in Hong Kong.

Dixie began performing at an early age, inspired by a lead role in her middle school musical. Shortly thereafter, this self-taught musician was covering Bonnie Raitt, Bob Dylan, Robert Johnson and other legends at open-mic nights across San Francisco. The enthusiastic response to Dixie’s “soulful voice with fervent jazz undertones” fuelled her passion for singing and songwriting.

Dixie wrote and performed her first single in 2012, just prior to her move to Hong Kong. Dixie continues to produce original material and intends to release her first album, “Save My Love” later this year.

Recent live performances have included: Clockenflap, The Y Rock Music Challenge, The Underground’s Subterra #6, AIA Carnival Hong Kong and Volcom’s True to This Concert.

Dixie has performed professionally at various venues and establishments including The Butcher’s Club, Beef & Liberty, and the Hong Kong Exhibition & Convention Centre. She has also has performed for a variety of charity events including: Pathfinders Annual Gala, St. John Fryer for Maggie’s Centre, HKIS Encore Festival, The Lion Rock Music Festival, OneSky Gala and Hong Kong’s World Music Day.

Dixie participated in both the Berklee School of Music’s singer songwriter summer program (2016) in and the Stanford Jazz Summer Program (2017). Recent internships have included work with YourMum and Chris B’s Underground, two of Hong Kong’s leading live music promoters (2016 and 2017, respectively)

Dixie has been covered several times by the South China Morning Post and is a frequent guest on RTHK Radio 3’s Morning Brew with Phil Wheeland. In November 2017 Dixie won “Best Originality” at The Big Picnic Y Rock international music competition, as covered by the South China Morning Post: “Singer-Songwriter Dixie Lynne lent an air of chill to the competition with her emotive voice and simple setup.” (SCMP)

Dixie will be touring alongside Justin Manville and Hush Forever on the forthcoming World Unplugged Asia Tour
