Justin Manville

A breakthrough artist in today’s folk music scene, Justin continues the folk tradition of telling stories to acoustic music, with a modern aesthetic. It’s an intensely personal process which connects on a deep level to all who submit.

Originally from Yorkshire, moved to Ireland in 1994, played every gig going over a period of 5 years, supporting Glen Hansard, Damien Rice and Mundy.

Justin’s second album Mothers Ghost was recorded in Pickering Forest, an artist retreat and recording studio, home to Marina Guinness,  partner to Stewart Copeland (The Police) and more recently Denny Cordell (Producer for Tom Petty and the Beatles)

Justin then moved to London and played 100’s of live concerts including The Troubadour, Sofar and 3 consecutive years for Amma in Alexandra Palace.

Writing partnerships formed in this period with Guy Chambers, Youth AKA (Martin Glover) and Mathew Hales (Aqualung) to name a few.

Justin then moved to California, playing concerts for Global Angels, recording videos in Joshua tree, Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

On many occasions Justin has headlined concerts, even though unknown in the mainstream, including The Red Cross Luxembourg and more recently a sold out concert in aid of Amy Biehl foundation held in Ibiza.

Justin is currently working on his 6th studio album in Ibiza alongside Henry Sarmiento at Sonic Vista studios.
